Super-Bowl food suggestion!!!!
How about this new recipe? If you like cheese, onion, peppers, steak and bread well this ones for you.
l large loaf Italian or French bread
1/2 onion sliced
1 red pepper sliced
1 green pepper sliced
1 yellow pepper sliced
1 lb. thinly sliced flank steak
salt and pepper
2 T olive oil separated
2 T. melted butter melted
1/3 lb. sliced American cheese(or your favorite cheese)
mushrooms optional
Place 1 T oil in skillet. Add peppers and onions. Cook until slightly tender.
Remove peppers and onions from skillet. Set aside. Add one more T olive oil, steak, salt and pepper. Cook until browned.
Place loaf of bread on large piece of aluminum foil. Make angled slits (pockets) on top of bread going half way through.
Brush butter over top of bread. Fill each slit (pocket) with peppers, onion, cheese and steak.
Sprinkle top of bread with Italian seasoning if you like to.
Cover tightly with foil and bake 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Serve with a side of marinara if you desire. Enjoy!
