Sicily, the largest Mediterranean island, is just off the "toe" of Italy's "boot." Its rich history is reflected in sites like the Valley of the Temples, the well-preserved ruins of 7 monumental, Doric-style Greek temples, and in the Byzantine mosaics at the Cappella Palatina, a former royal chapel in capital city Palermo. On Sicily’s eastern edge is Mount Etna, one of Europe’s highest active volcanoes. ― Google

The steep inclines and stone walkways were very difficult but thanks to my exercising I had no problem. Al had some because he doesn't exercise as I do. He managed and in turn we went shopping for good walking shoes for him.
The photos are not in order but this is the church we walked to see only to find out it was not open due to renovation. omg... and we walked that incline. SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!
This guy works hard sharpening anything any merchant needs sharpening. Just pulls up his van with his wife inside and goes about his business.

This was beautiful but challenging. We made it to the church but it was closed due to renovation.
Make sure you bring along the best shoes with good traction . Fortunately we had a beautiful day and no rain but I wouldn't want to be walking on wet walkways for sure. Oh yes and if you afraid of heights rule this out. lol
