My version of An old recipe of mine.
Change it up for a new version of beef tips or beef stew.
We’re all getting a little cabin fever so play with a recipe as I do and you’ll add something Different to please your family.
Make them fresh as I did or buy already prepared . It really is up to you.

1 lb. beef cubes cut in half. (Stew beef)
1small onion diced
4 T vegetable oil
4 T flour or more
Salt and pepper
2 sliced carrots
1/2 cup frozen peas
2 cups beef broth
2 potatoes mashed( to serve stew over)
Cut beef in smaller pieces, toss beef in flour,Salt and pepper.. Set aside.
In a 3 qt. Saucepan place oil. Add onions and cook until tender. Add floured beef. Cook stirring frequently until slightly browned. The beef will look coated.
Add beef mixture to crockpot.
In the same pot you cooked beef add 2 cups beef broth and scrape bottom of pan and bring to a boil. Add the heated beef broth to crockpot. Add 2 sliced carrots.
Allow to cook on low 6 to 8 Hours. Add peas before serving and stir until warmed through.
Serve over mashed potatoes.
