Beef in cast iron pot

Here’s my small
Top Round roast I made today for Sunday dinner. It was a top round roast. 12/7/2025



After cooking transferred to corningware for serving.



I really love my cast iron pot.

I have two sizes and today I used the smaller one for our beef dinner.

I had about 1.5 pound piece of thick round steak
1 package onion soup mix
1 cup water
3T Vegetable oil

I seared the beef in the vegetable oil and then added the onion soup water mix.  

Baked in pre heated oven @ 350° for approximately 11/2 hours or less.  Because of the cut it baked quickly.
I tested it with a fork and it cut easily and was very tender.
A delicious meal.
