Almond Encrusted Chicken Tenders

An easy yet delightful meal is one that I put together in no time.  We like chicken but sometimes tire of it so I have to liven it up and today I added some chopped almonds to encrust the tenders.


 I dipped  the chicken tenders in egg whites and then into plain bread crumbs which I had added the chopped almonds and a little kosher salt and white pepper.

In a medium size baking dish (I had about 1 pound of chicken tenders) I placed a few pats of butter and added the tenders.  Baked uncovered at 400 degrees about 20 minutes turning the chicken about 10 minutes into baking.  If they aren't brown enough turn on broiler and broil until slightly browned.
