If you like bread you're sure to love this bread pudding recipe. It's on my daughters favorite food list. She eats it for breakfast lunch or dinner. Actually until the whole dish is gone. We have to fight her for some! Just kidding!! One of her Dad's favorites too.. Happy Baking from my kitchen to yours!!!!!
8 cups Bread Cubes or 1 loaf bread broken in pieces
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
4 tablespoons butter or margarine melted
3 eggs beaten
4 cups skim milk
pinch salt
some dabs of butter on top
1 large apple sliced or diced (My apple was honey crisp. If you want softer try Macintosh)
Place bread cubes in large bowl..Add cinnamon,pinch of salt, vanilla and melted butter. Whisk milk and eggs. Pour over bread and mix thoroughly..Butter a large casserole dish and pour mixture into it. Top with some butter and a bit of sugar. Bake 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out pretty clean.

Just top with a bit of cream or half and half while warm and WOW! |

Peeling apples seem to be easier this way..Cut top and bottom instead of going around, take skin off from top to bottom. |

I can see why it is one of your daughters favorites-yum! There are a lot of recipes out there, but I do prefer the ones with fruit. Cream and fruit are always welcome and the honey crisps were a perfect choice. Delicious post and have a great day.
