We celebrated this beautiful St. Patty's Day by enjoying a gigantic parade in Naples, Fla. The crowd was out very early. The early risers put their chairs down the parade route to save a place.. We decided we weren't going to get into that so we walked and stopped and walked and stopped.. The parade lasted over 2 hours and I'm betting there were over 100,000 people from all ages and most were wearing some green. Even though I have not an ounce of Irish in me I couldn't help but love this day! Everyone was smiling and singing and dancing and even if you aren't Irish you had no trouble celebrating. Big Green hats and all kind of green shirts, skirts, necklaces, frilly green hair. Tattoo's on their face, backs and arms.. Dyed green hair glitter and glam!
Young and old were out in full force and the police were there to monitor the crowd.. Happy to say all was great and no bad behavior.. Only lots of very happy people!!! Happy St. Patty's Day to all!!
