A little about Civitavecchia

Civitavecchia is a coastal town northwest of Rome, in Italy. Built in the 2nd century, the Port of Civitavecchia still retains some of its original features, like the Roman Dock. The port area also includes the 16th-century Michelangelo Fort. Nearby, the National Archaeological Museum displays bronze and ceramic artifacts. Northeast of town are the Terme Taurine, the ruins of a Roman thermal bath complex. ― Google

Naples. Italy

It's considered Southern Italy so it was on our list as the others on the cruise to set our sights on this cruise.

We have been to Venice on one of European trips as well as Greece and visited our families in Cantiano and Florence in Northern Italy so this cruise was on my hubby's bucket list.

Naples is Quite the busy city where you take a chance with all the traffic which doesn't stop for anyone.  A definite challenge.

They fold their pizza in half to eat.  It's like a pizza sandwich.

We were on a game show on the cruise.  It was called the old/new version of the Newlywed Game.  Being married 58 years and dating 6 years we were of course asked to join.  It actually was fun and we were right on the money with the answers..

Game show celebrities lol.  Fun!

Livorno, Italy is known for its status as a major port city with a historic center featuring canals, or Venezia Nuova (New Venice). It is also famous for its fresh seafood, particularly the stew cacciucco, its grand waterfront promenade, the Terrazza Mascagni, and its 16th-century fortresses, the Fortezza Vecchia and Fortezza Nuova. Additionally, the city is a hub for commerce, industry, and a diverse population due to its history as a free port.  Thank you Google...

AS I have mentioned before tour guides are great and they have great  knowledge but unfortunately you  can only retain small parts of their information.

My first expresso this day with a fresh cheese danish. The dough was delightful.

A caramel Gelato hit the spot.

On to Luxury.  There is a lot of that in all the cities but as a tourist I am cautious.  Difficult to tell a Euro from American Dollar so I was there for the enjoyment and not so much to shop.
