FYI: Space savers and your home

Hi everyone!

I think it’s time to share a few of my secrets in the kitchen as well as all over the house for easy storage and organizing.

Your home is your castle but no matter what its size clutter comes along in all shapes and sizes so what do I do?  I continue to find easy ideas to eliminate clutter.

I find storage in my freezer to be clumsy at times with small packages of servings not used so here’s a few hints to help keep your freezer and pantry organized.

First:  Rubber bands versus clips for frozen veggies, snacks or bulky items.

Rubber bands work better and usually a large rubber band works for all sizes.  Plus they take up less space storing.

The uses are endless!  Try a rubber band ball or another rubber band source but the rubber band ball eliminates all those little nuisance rubber bands.

I bought mine at Target.

Love my rubber bands!! I bet you will do too!!!

Greece! Loved it!!!!!

I loved touring Greece so much I want to share it with you!

Every port in Greece seemed to be more beautiful than the other..Most of these are from Santorini..The view was absolutely breathtaking..

Mostly white everywhere you would look

A local fisherman stopped by while we were having lunch

Villa's with a pool

Cruise ships in the background

A Greek yacht

The good life!

White cotton shirts, dresses are abundant and locally made

Loved this plant

Sour cherry Jubiliee..I usually make mine with Bing cherries

Prime Rib ( no grape leaves for me)

Greek salad..Usually large piece of feta adorns it and most Greek salads don't include lettuce..Tomatoes, peppers, red onion ..Tomatoes were in season and oh so sweet.

Check out the blue water

Cut bananas in thin slices and freeze overnight. At least 8 hours.

Blend frozen bananas, milk, peanut butter, and chocolate Morsels in a blender until smooth.   So yummy!

My 2020 Garden

I love my small garden.  Years ago I thought the bigger my garden it was it had to be.  Boy have I changed!

I love my space.  It fits my needs and makes me happy to walk out and explore new buds and new beginnings.

  • Hope you will enjoy the tour.

Happy Mother’s Day!

We may be in the middle of a Pandemic but we will get through this time stronger than ever.

This time has made me realize more than ever how much family and friends mean to me.

The usual grocery store stops and a quick stop by to see a friend can’t happen at the moment and we have so much uncertainty in the world we are all confused and a lot of us are riddled with anxiety.

Keeping ourselves positive and keeping ourselves busy has been a challenge but one thing we can all do is reach out to a friend or family member to show them we are thinking of them.  A phone call, a text or a card will be the nicest gesture you can do to make someone feel loved and cared about.

Happy Mother’s Day to  everyone!

Stay safe and know you are loved.
