We are getting into the holiday entertaining season and I know I am always looking for something new to make to surprise and please my guests. Going through some magazines I found some easy appetizer recipes and wanted to share them with you. I have made several of these before and they are really good! I know the holidays are a busy time and coming up with quick and easy recipes is difficult to do. Hopefully you'll try one or two and let me know how your guests liked them.

It seems as though I make the same appetizers all the time so I must refresh myself with some new ones. Hope this list helps you too!.
1. Pea Hummus
Puree 1 cup thawed peas, 2 T. Tahini, 1 minced garlic clove and T. Lemon juice in food processor until smooth. Garnish with some peas and a little bit of olive oil
2. Cheeseburger Dip
Combine 1 lb. cook hamburger, 1 lb. American cheese or Velvetta, 1 can tomatoes with green chilles, and 1 cup shredded mozzarella. Microwave; top with chopped scallions
3. Buffalo -Style Celery Sticks
Mix together 2 oz. blue cheese and 2 oz. softened cream cheese. Stuff cleaned celery stalks with mixture. Top with cayenne pepper.
4. Hot dog bites
Broil a good quality hot dog. Roll it in a tortilla spread with brown mustard. Slice
5.Avocado Crostini
Toast Crusty Bread; top with mashed avocado, olive oil, coarse salt and pepper
6. Hummus Deviled Eggs
Mix 5 or more yolks from 12 hard boiled eggs with 1 cup hummus. Spread into eggs, garnish with parsley and paprika
7. Bacon and Pear Bites
Cut just ripe pears into 1/2 in cubes. Sprinkle with salt, sugar, and cayenne pepper. Put on a toothpick with pieces of crispy bacon.
8. Greek-Style Nachos
Top pita chips with feta, roasted red peppers, sliced pepperoncini. Bake until melted;top with olives and Greek yogurt.
9. Salted Caramel Dip
Combine 8 oz. cream cheese, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 3/4 cup caramel sauce, 1 tsp. vanilla and a pinch of salt. Serve with sliced apples
10. White chocolate grapes
Melt white chocolate chips in microwave-safe bowl. Dip grapes in chocolate and then sugar or sprinkles.
Refrigerate until set..
